So Book It? What does
that even mean?
Are we booking it so
we aren’t late?
Are we running
somewhere?
Am I a travel agent?
Are we booking a
flight?
How about a Disney
dream vacation? Not exactly!
Book It is a blog about how books have been translated into movies. The good,
the bad, and the down right ugly excuses for book to film adaptations will be
shared here. Let me tell you, I have read all of the major young adult books
that have been turned into movies.
You name it! Harry
Potter? Check!
Twilight? Check!
The Hunger Games?
Check!
I’ll even
share my take on the classic Jane Austen novel, Pride & Prejudice,
and how I thought it added up when adapted to film.
I have opinions and
lots of them. From which characters look nothing like I pictured them to be to
which screen play writer got the ending totally wrong! Don’t worry! There won’t
be any spoilers on this blog out of courtesy to those latecomers who have yet
to jump on the bandwagon. Among the titles that I have mentioned above, I will
start reading other books that have been turned into films in order to provide
a wider variety for those of you whose hearts don’t skip a beat at the mention
of Robert Pattinson’s name. Don’t even get me started on how upset I am with
Kristen Stewart!
If you have any suggestions, please don’t hesitate to make a request! Keep in
mind that I don’t read horror and I don’t watch horror because I am a huge
scaredy cat! Overall, I think this will be a fun experience and a great place
to find out other people’s opinions as well as have my own opinions heard! Let
the over-analyzed fun begin!
